Christmas Craft Creations February Challenge – Blue and Silver

Hello there, and welcome to my blog, my friends. We have a new challenge at the Christmas Craft Creations Blog, and the theme for the February Challenge is Blue and Silver.

First, I placed the ornament background stamp from the My Monthly Hero November 2018 Kit by Hero Arts on my Misti. Then I prepped and A2 watercolour cardstock using an embossing powder bag to remove any static. Next, I inked the stamp using VersaMark Ink and stamped it on the card panel. I then sprinkled silver embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun.

After that, I used Blue Water, Sea Glass, Thistle and Early Dawn Reactive Ink pads and directly inked the card panel in random spots. Next, I used my Distress sprayer to sprinkle water on the background and help the inks move around and blend well. I repeated this process a couple of times till I was happy with the background.

Once the panel was dry, I splattered water on it and dabbed off the excess with a kitchen towel. Then I smooshed Thistle and Blue Water Reactive Inks on my media mat and used a size 2 round brush to splatter them on the background.

Next, I used Deep Ocean Liquid Watercolour by Hero Arts along with a round brush to colour the ornaments.

To create the embossed sentiment, I used the Merry die from the Holiday Script Words Die Set and die cut it thrice from a piece of white cardstock and stuck them together using art glitter glue. Then I inked it cut using VersaMark Ink, sprinkled Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun. I repeated this process a few more times to add more dimension.

After that, I stamped the word Christmas on a Nautical cardstock using a stamp from the My Monthly Hero November 2019 Kit by Hero Arts. I heat embossed this sentiment using the Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder as well. Then I cut this sentiment to a thin strip using my trimmer.

Next, I ran my VersaMark Ink pad along the edges of the card panel, sprinkled Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder on it and heat set it. Lastly I assembled the card panel and stuck it on a Nautical card base using art glitter glue.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
