Altenew March 2023 Stamp/Die/Stencil & More Release Blog Hop #1 + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello there, and welcome to my blog! I am super excited to join Altenew for the March 2023 Stamp/Die/Stencil & More Release Blog Hop #1 + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Dana’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.

Project 1

I started by die cutting the tree from Jet Black cardstock using the Archways Die Set. Then I die cut the background panel using the Mix and Match Frames Die Set. To create the sun, I die cut a mask using a circle die and stuck it on the card panel. I then inked it using Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry and Rhodolite Crisp Dye Inks and an ink blending tool.

Next, I stuck the tree on the card panel. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the All Things Orange Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on a Jet black cardstock.

Project 2

First, I die cut the dragon fly from Jet Black cardstock using the Delicate Dragonflies Die Set. Then I embossed the wings using antique gold embossing powder

To create the glow in the background, I inked an A2 Jet Black cardstock using Arctic and Persian Blue Pigment inks

After that, I embossed the sentiment from the Paint-A-Flower: Hydrangea Outline Stamp Set using antique gold embossing powder. I then stuck the dragon fly on the panel and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

Project 3

I stamped the moon from To the Moon Stamp Set on a white A2 cardstock using the below Crisp Dye Inks:
Layer 1Pink Pearl and Heart Beat
Layer 2Heart Beat and Vineyard Berry

Next, I embossed the card panel using the Bamboo Branches 3D Embossing Folder and inked it using the coordinating stencil, Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink and an ink blending tool.

Then I die cut the sentiment using the Vertical Greetings Die Set. Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck it on an A2 card base.

Project 4

First, I stamped the panda from the Roaming Pandas Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink and die cut it using the coordinating die.

Next, I embossed the bamboos in the background on an A2 cardstock using the Bamboo Branches 3D Embossing Folder. Then I inked it using the coordinating stencils and Bamboo, Parrot, Olive and Moss Crisp Dye Inks.

After that, I die cut the grass using the dies from the Roaming Pandas Die Set. I then inked the panel using Just Green, Hunter Green and Green Onyx Crisp Dye Inks. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. As the last step, I assembled the card and stuck it on an A2 card base.

  1. The moon and sun cards are gorgeous.
Fantastic shading. The sun is so warming.
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Incredible cards. Each one is unique and dramatic. The ink colors chosen help create the beautiful effects. How different the bamboo stalks look in dark colors and bright greens.

  3. Joy, Thank You for sharing your beautiful cards one was as awesome as the other. I especially love the bamboo with the moon card, it’s my favorite!

  4. Hi, Joylita – I absolutely adore the dragonfly card – super-elegant and very classy. I love the bamboo/moon card, too – striking! Your other cards are pretty as well. TFS –

  5. You’ve really captured the beauty of this release with your artistic interpretation! Thanks for sharing your creativity!

  6. Thanks for inspiring us with your gorgeous and unique cards! I love how you used a blended “sun” in a couple of them.

  7. Joy, I can’t decide which card I like best. They are all stunning. Your ink blending is beautiful and I like the colors you chose. Designs on black card stock are always so beautiful, but the gold foil really sets this on off.
