AAA Cards Challenge #191 – No Layers

Hello and welcome to my blog, my crafty friends. We have a new challenge at the AAA Cards Blog, and the theme for challenge #191 is No Layers + Optional Twist Use Hexagons.

Sue Symens is the Guest Designer for this challenge. You can click here to visit her blog and see her fabulous card.

First, I inked the flower using the Greenwood Flowers Stencil Set (3 in 1) on an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb card base using Crisp Dye Inks along with my ink blending tools. Then I masked the flower and inked the leaves. Below are the colours I used:
Flowers:
1st Layer – Citrus Burst and Fresh Lemon
2nd Layer – Autumn Blaze and Heart Beat
3rd Layer – Vineyard Berry
4th Layer – Grapevine
5th Layer – Jet Black
Leaves:
1st Layer – Firefly
2nd Layer – Grass Field
3rd Layer – Evergreen

I then masked the leaves and inked the background using the Honeycomb Stencil and Silver Stone Crisp Dye Ink.

After that, I unmasked the images and added shading with my Polychromos Pencils – 232, 234, 235, 168, 166 and 278. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Be Kind Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post for more inspiration from the design team. Have a fabulous day.

  1. The most awesome stencil. Love your vibrant colours on the flowers and the more subtle background hexagons.
