MFT Card Design Superstar contest – Clean & Simple Genius 2020

Welcome to my blog, my crafty friends. This is my entry for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest – Clean & Simple Genius. I tried to create a scene from the movie Singing in the Rain.

First, I stamped the puddle image from the Rain or Shine Stamp Set on an A2 cardstock using Natural Hybrid Ink. Then I stamped the drops from the same stamp set using Natural Hybrid Ink, and the boy from the Puddle Jumper Stamp Set using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on a Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. After that, I die cut the streetlight using the Streetlight Die-namics.

Next, I drew the pavement using my Copic Multiliner and a ruler. I then used my Copic Markers to colour the images.

Below are the colours I used:
Hair – E49, E47, E44, E41
Skin – E11, E20, E00, E000
Shirt – N7, N5, N3, N2
Raincoat – Y38, Y19, Y15, Y13, Y11
Pants – N7, N5, N3, N2, Y02
Boots – E79, E77, E74, E71, Y02
Puddle – N2, N0, 0, BV31, BV60
Pavement – N7, N5, N3, N2, N0
Umbrella – T9, T7, T5, T3, Y02, N5, N3, N2
Sky – Y000, 0
Streetlight – Y06, Y02, Y00, Y0000, C7, C5, C3
Road – N3, N2, N0

To create the background, I masked the ground and the area I wanted to place the images. Then I inked the sky using Chipped Sapphire, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress inks along with my blender brushes.

After that, I fussy cut the images and stuck them on the panel. I then drew the raindrops and water on the road using my Sakura White Gelly roll pen. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
