A Blog Named Hero August Challenge – Background Basics

Hello there! Welcome to my blog. We have a new challenge on A Blog Named Hero and the theme for this month’s challenge is Create a Background. To enter this month, post your card (on which you have created a background) to Instagram, and use the hashtag #ABNHAugustChallenge by 5 pm ET on the 26th of the month for your chance to win!

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our blog undergoes maintenance. We can’t wait to see your entries!

I started by stamping the flower from the Hero Florals Magnolia Stamp Set on an A2 cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink. Next, I used my Alcohol Markers to colour the images.

Note: I stamped the images in the foreground first, masked them and then stamped the images in the background.

After that, I prepped a strip of black cardstock using an embossing powder bag to remove any static. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Zen Messages Stamp Set on the cardstock strip using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink, sprinkled white embossing powder, dusted off the excess, and heat set it with my heat gun.

Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you join the challenge for a chance to win a Hero Arts gift card! Have a beautiful day.
