Masculine card – Gardening Challenge

I came across The Male Room Challenge Blog on Instagram and I decided to play along. This is the first time I have participated in this challenge and I enjoyed every bit of it. The theme for this time is Gardening, which surely is a fun theme, and I can’t wait to participate in the future challenges.

For this card, I first stamped the flowers from the Altenew Garden Grow stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on Canson XL Mix Media paper and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. After this, I coloured the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then used a dot of silver liquid pearl by Ranger on top of the tools that I was planning to hang on the wall. Once it was semi-dry, I used a steel ruler and made a cross on it and coloured it with Copic marker to give it the appearance of a screw.

For the background, I die cut a piece of Canson XL Mix Media paper using the Cloud Nine die set from Mama Elephant. Then, I masked off the lower part of the card and used Fired Brick Distress Ink and the brick stencil from the Tim Holtz Mini Layering Stencil – Set 3 along with Nuvo Dual Ended Blender Brush and coloured the background. Once I was done, I removed the masking sheet and coloured the ground using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I then stamped the sentiment from Maymay Made it From All Of Us stamp set and die cut it using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips by MFT.

Finally, I stuck the images on the background and then stuck the cardstock to the card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
