Starfish Sparkle in the Sea-Lestial Sky

For today’s project, I decided to use the Sea-Lestial stamp set by Maymay Made It. Yes, you must have guessed by now, it is one of my favourite stamps.

I decided to emboss and colour the starfish images, and for this, I prepped a sheet of Canson Watercolour pad by rubbing the Embossing Magic Pad on it to remove static. Then, I stamped the images a few times, sprinkled some Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter, dusted off the excess and then heat set it. I just love this embossing powder! The way it glitters looks so magical. Once I was done with the embossing, I fussy cut the images using Cutter Bee scissors and coloured them using Zig clean color real brush markers.

For the background, I used Canson XL Mix Media paper and cut it using the largest die from the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle dies. Then, I coloured it with Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks using the Round sponge Ink Blending Tool. Once the ink was dry, I rubbed the Embossing Magic Pad on it to remove static and then stamped the sentiment on it using VersaMark ink. I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for this process. I then stamped the bubbles from the same stamp set and heat embossed both the sentiment and the bubbles. As a final step, I rubbed Distress Micro Glaze on the background as this glaze not only makes the colours pop but also acts as a sealant.

I wanted to add a little more glitter to my card and I decided to have a golden strip on one side. For this, I cut a strip of paper to 1/2” * 51/2” using the Tim Holtz Trimmer and then embossed it using Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.

Finally, I assembled the card. I stuck the strip and the starfish images on the background and then stuck the cardstock to the card base.

I have listed the products I used below. Thank you for visiting my blog.
