Christmas in July: Oh What Fun!

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh! So, as you can guess, I have been signing carols this whole month. I really love the idea of making Christmas cards in July because it makes me feel so happy and Christmasy and it has another advantage too! You don’t have the last-minute Christmas card making stress.😋 You can spend all that time enjoying Christmas with your family.❤️

For today’s card I used the Happy Hibiscus and Stuck on You Stamp Sets by Maymay Made it that are non-traditional Christmas stamps, but I decided to add a Christmas twist to these by making a wreath out of them and also using Christmas colours. For the sentiment, I used the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set.

First, I cut the Distress watercolor cardstock to four and three-fourth inches square using my Tim Holtz Trimmer. Then, I used the wreath maker and stamped the images from the Happy Hibiscus and Stuck on You Stamp Sets using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I then coloured them using Zig Markers and added details to them using my Faber Castell Polychromos.

Next, I stamped the sentiment using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform as I wanted to stamp without any error. First, I prepared the cardstock by rubbing the Embossing pad on it to remove any static. Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set using VersaMark Ink, sprinkled Nuvo Gold embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it. After that, I splattered Yellow Gold from Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry colours over the entire card.

Finally, I stuck this card stock on a black 5 inches square card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
