Christmas in July: Winter Wonderland

Christmas is my favourite time of the year and so I was super excited about the Christmas in July at Maymay Made It. All the design team members will be sharing different Christmas projects throughout the month, and if you love Christmas as much as I do, you have to follow @maymaymadeit on Instagram and check out the amazing projects.

For this card, I have used the Memory Lane and Winter Wonderland Stamp Set by Maymay Made It.

First, I cut Distress watercolor paper using the largest die from the Peek a Frame die set by Mama Elephant. Then, I masked the lower part of the card using post its and coloured the top part using Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire, sprinkled water using Tim Holtz Distress Spray Bottle and let it dry. I did not dab the water off like I usually do. Once this was dry, I switched the side of the post its and coloured the ground using Cracked Pistachio. To add texture to the ground, I used Evergreen Bough with Nuvo Blender brush and dabbed the ink on the paper.

I then embossed the sentiment from the Winter Wonderland Stamp set. For this, I first prepared the area using an Embossing Magic Pad to remove any static. After that, I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark Ink and sprinkled Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter by Wow on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it.

Once I was done with the background, I stamped the truck and reindeer on a sheet from Canson Watercolour pad and fussy cut them using Cutter Bee scissors. I then coloured the images using Zig markers. I used Wink of Stella Silver for the tyres and the Clear one for the window panels. Using a stencil by Tim Holtz I coloured the trees and then fussy cut them.

Once this was done, I stuck the images on the background and then stuck the background panel to a black card stock using art glitter glue. Finally, I splattered white paint on the entire card to give a snow effect and I was done.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
