Altenew Educators’ “Secret Card Recipe” Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Hey there! Welcome back to my blog! I am thrilled to join Altenew for the Educators’ “Secret Card Recipe” Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Nicki’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.

First, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Sunflower Daisy Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White cardstock using the below Crisp Dye inks:
Flowers:
1st Layer
Citrus Burst and Fresh Lemon
2nd LayerOrange Cream
3rd LayerHeart Beat and Vineyard Berry
4th LayerVineyard Berry and Jet Black
5th Layer (Center)Frayed Leaf
6th Layer (Center)Moss
7th Layer (Center)Evergreen
Leaves:
1st LayerFrayed Leaf
2nd LayerMoss
3rd LayerEvergreen

Note: For the layers with 2 different inks, I stamped the image first using the lighter ink. Then I applied the darker ink on the stamp set and blended it with my ink blending tool before stamping it. This technique helps me to get more depth in my stamped images.

Next, I die cut the images using the coordinating die set.

To create the background I followed another one of my favourite techniques – the watercolour lift. I inked an A2 watercolour cardstock using Just Green Crisp Dye ink along with a blending tool. Then I placed the Wavy Grid Stencil on it and stuck it in place with washi tape. After that, I dipped a paper towel in water and dabbed it on the card to lift off the ink. Then I removed the stencil and splattered water on the card front using a round brush and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Stone Mosaic Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I assembled the card panel and stuck it on an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today.
