Altenew March 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop #1 + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am thrilled to join Altenew for the March 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop #1 + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Therese’s blog.

Project 1

I stamped the images from the Build-A-Garden: Dancing Poppies Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I inked them using the coordinating stencils and the below crisp dye inks:
Flowers – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
Leaves and stems – Bamboo, Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green, Green Onyx

Next, I used the coordinating die to cut the images. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on an A2 card base using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I splattered Jet Black Watercolour on the background and stuck the flowers on it.

Supplies:

Project 2

First, I die cut the flowers and leaves from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using the Craft-A-Flower: Southern Magnolia Layering Die Set. Then I inked them using the below crisp dye inks:
Flowers – Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry
Centres of the flowers – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
Leaves – Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green, Green Onyx

To create the background, I used a wet brush and painted on an A2 watercolour cardstock. Then I coloured it using Sea Breeze, Desert Night, Emerald and Limeade Watercolour Brush Markers. Once the panel was dry I splattered white gouache on it.

Next, I used the Linear Crossroads Die and die cut it thrice from Jet Black cardstock. I then stuck them on the card panel.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set on white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink and trimmed it. Then I assembled the card and stuck the panel on an A2 card base.

Supplies:

Project 3

I started by stamping the image from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden on a white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I inked the image using the coordinating stencils and the below crisp dye inks:
Rose – Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry, Rhodolite
Other flowers – Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
Leaves – Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green

Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies. Next, I inked an A2 card base using Green Onyx, Moss and Olive Crisp Dye Inks. I then splattered Jet Black Watercolour on it. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using the Obsidian Pigment Ink. After that, I used the Garden Trellis Cover Die from Jet black cardstock and stuck it on the background panel. Lastly, I assembled the card using precision glue.

Supplies:

Project 4

To create the gradient effect in the images, I inked them using the below crisp dye inks:
Flower 1 – Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry, Rhodolite, Ultraviolet
Flower 2 – Hydrangea, Andromeda, Ultraviolet, Pink Diamond
Leaves – Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green, Green Onyx

Note: I inked the entire stamp with the lightest ink and stamped it. Then I inked the stamp with the second ink and used a blending brush to soften the edges and I repeated this process with all the inks.

I then used the coordinating die from the Mini Delight: Café Au Lait Dahlia Set to die cut the images.

For the background, I splattered white gouache on an A2 Jet Black cardstock. Then I embossed the sentiment from the Stone Mosaic Stamp Set using white embossing powder. I then assembled the card and stuck the panel on an A2 card base.

Supplies:

Project 5

I embossed the image from the Paint-A-Flower: Magnolia Grandiflora Outline Stamp Set on an A2 watercolour cardstock. Then I coloured them using the below Watercolour Brush Markers:
Flowers – Ruby Red, Dusk
Leaves – Emerald, Lime, Sweet Leaf
Centres of the flowers – Paper Bag, Espresso
Background – Olive, Emerald, Dusk

Note: To create the texture in the background, I sprinkled some rock salt on the card panel when it was wet. Once it was dry, I wiped the salt with a microfibre cloth.

After that, I die cut the sentiment from watercolour cardstock using the Wild Geranium Die Set. Then I inked it using the same colours as the flowers. Lastly, I assembled the card panel and stuck it on an A2 card base.

Supplies:

Project 6

First, I used the Spark Joy: Sweet Strawberries stencils on Jet Black cardstock and then coloured it using the below Altenew Gouache colours:
Strawberries – Baby Pink, Ruby Red, Coral Red, Mahogany Red
Leaves and stem – Pistachio Green, Lagoon Green, Prussian Blue

Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Stone Mosaic Stamp Set using gold embossing powder.

After that, I die cut the frame from black cardstock using the Mix and Match Frames Die and embossed the edges using antique gold embossing powder. Lastly, I stuck this panel on a card base.
