Christmas Craft Creations November Challenge – Anything But A Card

Welcome to my blog, my friends. We have a new challenge at the Christmas Craft Creations Blog, and the theme for the November Challenge – Anything But A Card.

Angie is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Click here to see her stunning project.

First, I placed the Cross-Stitch Bookmark Die set by My Favorite Things on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting machine. For the moon, I die cut a sheet of Masking Magic by Gina K Designs using the 6th die from the Infinity Circle Die set by Hero Arts and masked the bookmark.

Next, I stamped the bench from the My Monthly Hero October 2018 kit using Memento Black ink. I then masked it and stamped the streetlight from the same stamp set. After that, I stamped the outline of the tree from the Color Layering Snowy Tree Stamp Set. Then I masked the ground with memo tape by Heffy Doodle.

I then inked the sky using Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress inks along with blender brushes by Taylored Expressions. After that, I unmasked the images and used my Copic Markers to colour them.

Below are the colours I used:
Bench – E49, E47, E57, E39, E37, E35, E33, E31, Y02
Streetlight – Y38, Y08, Y02, Y00
Tree – G28, G17, G14, YG01; Polychromos – 159, 267, 278
Moon – Y02, Y00, Y000, 0
Shadows – BV02, BG11

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Messages Stamp Set by Hero Arts and the silhouette of Santa and his reindeers from the My Monthly Hero October 2020 kit using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

To create the stars, I masked all the images again and splattered white gouache on the background using a round brush. As a final step, I tied a purple ribbon to the bookmark.

I am linking this bookmark to the Time Out challenge.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
