Polychromatic

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I would like to share a card I made for the Polychromatic Course by Altenew Academy

In this course, Nina-Marie Trapani shares some amazing tips on how you can confidently use different colour combinations. This course was very informative, and I absolutely loved Nina-Marie’s beautiful cards.

I started by stamping the layering flowers and leaves from the Sunflower Daisy and Beautiful Day Stamp Sets on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Below are the colours I used:

Yellow Flower:
1st Layer
Citrus Burst
2nd LayerFresh Lemon
3rd LayerMaple Yellow
4th LayerHoney Drizzle

Orange Flower:
1st Layer
Sunkissed
2nd LayerOrange Cream
3rd LayerAutumn Blaze
4th LayerFirebrick

Red Flower:
1st Layer
Pink Pearl
2nd LayerCoral Bliss
3rd LayerHeart Beat
4th LayerVineyard Berry

Centre of all flowers:
1st Layer
Firefly
2nd LayerShadow Creek
3rd LayerMountain Pine

Leaves:
1st LayerFirefly
2nd LayerShadow Creek
3rd Layer Mountain Pine

Then I stamped the single-layered leaves from the Leaf Clusters and Sunflower Daisy Stamp Sets using Firefly and Mountain Pine Crisp inks. After that, I fussy cut all the images using cutter bee scissors.

To create the background, I placed the Stone Wall Stencil on an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and lightly inked it using Ocean Waves Crisp Dye Ink along with a blender brush. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Say It With Love Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then covered it with a post-it and splattered black ink on the card panel using the Jet Black watercolour brush pen from the Winter Wonderland Set.

Next, I assembled all the images on the card front and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

I am linking this card to the Flower Challenge – Use a Sentiment.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
