Christmas Craft Creations March Challenge – Christmas Flowers

Hello my crafty friends.Welcome to my blog, my friends. We have a new challenge at the Christmas Craft Creations Blog, and the theme for the March Challenge is Christmas Flowers.

Rosi is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Click here to see her beautiful project.

First, I placed the dies from the Poinsettia 3D Die Set on a Vellum sheet and ran it through my die cutting machine. I then inked the die cut pieces using Heart Beat and Just Green Crisp Dye Inks along with the mini blending brushes. For the centre of the flower, I used Fresh Lemon Crisp Ink. I then used Gold Metallic Watercolour by Altenew to colour the edges of the die cut pieces. After that, I assembled the poinsettia using art glitter glue.

To create the background, I first prepped an A2 Black cardstock. Next, I inked the background stamp from the Dotted Diamond Stamp Set using VersaMark Ink and stamped it on the card panel. I then sprinkled Antique Gold embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set using VersaMark Ink, sprinkled Antique Gold embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it. Next, I stuck the poinsettia on the card panel and splattered Gold Metallic Watercolour on the entire panel using a size 2 round brush. As the last step, I stuck this on to an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post for more inspiration from the design team. Have a beautiful day.

  1. Fantastic card! I love the bright red and green against the gorgeous black and gold background. Your poinsettia is spot on with the green and red mix, looks exactly like a real one! X
