3D Floral Focus

Hello there, my crafty friends! I am so glad you are back. I made this card for the 3D Floral Focus Course by Altenew Academy. This course is by Therese Calvird and it definitely helped change the way I think of layering dies. She showcases many different techniques and gives amazing tips to expand the way you use your floral layering dies and get a unique look each time.

I started by placing the flower die cuts from the Pleasant Pansy 3D Die Set on a few different pattern papers from the Alluring Blooms and Summer Garden Paper Packs and ran them through my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine. For the yellow in the centre of the flowers I used the pattern paper from the Sweet Moments Paper Pack and for the leaves, I placed the dies from the Pleasant Pansy 3D, Create-A-Wreath and Parlor Palm Die Sets on papers from the Alluring Blooms and Summer Garden Paper Packs and ran them through the die cutting machine.

To create the vase, I stuck the Gilded Ombre Washi Tape on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and die cut it using a die from the Mod Vases Die Set. I then placed the vase in my Angled Mosaic 3D folder and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting machine

For the background, I cut a sheet of Jet Black cardstock to 3 1/2 * 8 inches using my trimmer. Then I masked the ground, placed the Stone Wall Stencil on it and inked the card panel using white pigment ink along with my ink blending tool. I then removed the stencil and splattered white liquid watercolour on the background.

Once the panel was dry, I assembled the card using Precision Glue Pen and stuck this card panel on to a card base. Lastly, I used my White Polychromos Pencil to add shadows below the vase and smoothened it with a blending stump.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
