Looking forward to seeing you

For this week’s design team project at Maymay Made It, I made a one layer card using Neenah Solar White cardstock. First, I stamped the truck from Memory Lane Stamp Set and masked it using the masking sheet that I cut to the shape of the truck. After I masked the lower part of the card using post its, I coloured the sky with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Candid apple and Fired Brick Distress Inks and used a Nuvo blending sponge to get a gradient effect. I then sprayed water using Tim Holtz Distress sprayer and dabbed the excess using a kitchen towel.

After that, I removed the post-its but did not remove the masking sheet from the truck. I stamped the trees from the Memory Lane Stamp Set using Evergreen, Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf by Altenew Inks. I used the darkest shade (Evergreen) in the first row. For the second row I stamped a lighter shade of green (Forest Glades) and for the last one, I used the lightest shade (Frayed Leaf).

Quick Tip: If you do not have three different shades of green, you can follow the stamping off technique and it will give you similar results.

Then, I inked the ground using Tea Dye Distress ink and a Nuvo blending sponge. To add texture to the ground, I used Ground Expresso and Vintage Photo Distress ink along with an embossing tool. To create the shadow below the truck, I used Ground Expresso ink with my water brush.

After colouring the background, I removed the mask from the truck and coloured it using Zig Markers. I stamped the sentiment from the same set with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, and the card was complete!

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
