Just Poking By To Say Hello!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I would like to share a card I made for the current Monochrome Challenge on A Blog Named Hero.

First, I stamped the crab from the In a Pinch Stamp Set on an A2 alcohol ink-friendly cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink. Then I masked it and stamped the shell on it. Next, I stamped the clouds from the My Monthly Hero December 2020 Kit using a few shades of grey inks.

After that, I stamped the sun rays using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink, sprinkled white embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun. Then I stamped the second layer of rays using a shade of grey ink. Next, I masked the sun and the lower portion of the cardstock and inked the top portion using grey ink and an ink blending brush.

I then masked the sky and inked the sea using dark grey ink. After that, I dipped the tip of a rough brush in white liquid watercolour and dabbed it on the card panel to create the foam. Next, I unmasked the images and coloured them using my Copic Markers.

For the sentiment panel, I first prepped a piece of Pitch Black cardstock using an embossing bag to remove any static. Then I stamped the sentiment from the In a Pinch Stamp Set using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink, sprinkled white embossing powder on it and heat set it with my heat gun. Lastly, I stuck this sentiment on the card front and stuck this panel on an A2 card base using precision glue.

I am linking this card to the Stay Crafty with Hero – Fun in the Sun Challenge.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post to enter your project for a chance to win a gift card to Hero Arts! Have a fabulous day.
