Altenew Workshop – 5th November

Hey there! Today I would like to share a card I made for my monthly workshop hosted by Bridget Casey. She has a workshop every Saturday, and if you would like to join in the crafty fun please click here to visit her blog.

First, I placed an A2 cardstock in the Areca Palm 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. Next, I inked the leaves using Parrot, Just Green, Hunter Green, Moss and Evergreen Crisp Dye Inks. After that, I placed the cardstock in Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. This step helps to add texture to your card panel.

Then I inked the Areca Palm 3D Embossing Folder using Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire Pigment Inks and used a brayer to blend them. Next, I embossed the cardstock again. This step helps pop the leaves.

After that, I die cut the flowers and leaves from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using the Craft-A-Flower: Cape Marguerite Layering Die Set. I inked them using the below Crisp Dye inks:
FlowersOrange Cream, Heart Beat
LeavesCitrus Burst, Just Green, Hunter Green
Centres of the flowersSand Dunes, Mocha, Espresso

I then splattered Heart Beat and Vineyard Berry inks on the flowers and Hunter Green and Evergreen inks on the leaves using a round brush. Next, I shaped the flowers using a round brush and assembled them using liquid glue.

I die cut the outline of the butterfly four times from white cardstock using the Mix & Match Mariposa Die Set. I also die cut the base layer of the butterfly from white cardstock and acetate. Then I inked the base layer using Heart Beat Crisp Dye Ink and an ink blending tool

Next, I inked the top layer using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink, sprinkled gold embossing powder, and heat set it. I then assembled the butterfly and used microbeads in the centre. You can use glitter as well.

Then I embossed the sentiment from the Tiny Sentiments: Hello Stamp Set on Jet Black cardstock using gold embossing powder. I also die cut the frame from Jet Black cardstock and the inner portion of the frame from vellum using Fine Frames Diamonds Die Set.

Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck it on an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today. Have a fabulous day.
