Altenew 8”x11” Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hey there and welcome to my blog! I am so excited to join Altenew for the Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the amazing Helen’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.

Project 1

I started by stamping the outline of the flower and leaves from the Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set on Neenah Classic Crest cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. For the rest of the layers I used the below Crisp Dye inks:
Flower:
1st Layer
– Wisteria
2nd Layer – Tide Blue
3rd Layer – Azurite
4th Layer – Just Green
5th LayerMountain Pine
6th LayerFresh Lemon
Leaves:
1st Layer
Sweet Leaf and Fresh Lemon
2nd Layer – Just Green
3rd Layer – Mountain Pine

After that, I fussy cut the images. To create the background, I inked an A2 watercolor cardstock using Just Green Crisp Ink along with my ink blending tool. I then placed the Wavy Grid Stencil on it and stuck it in place using washi tape. Next, I used a paper towel, dipped it in water and dab it on the card panel to lift the ink off the paper.

Note: The paper towel has to be slightly damn, if it is too wet the water will seep through the stencil.

Then I splattered water on the panel using my round brush and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. After that, I splattered Jet Black ink on the background. Lastly, I assembled the images on the card front and stuck this panel on an A2 card base using precision glue.

Project 2

For this card, I stamped the outline images from the Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set on Neenah Classic Crest cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. For the rest of the layers I used the below Crisp Dye inks:
Flower:
1st Layer
– Pink Pearl
2nd Layer – Heart Beat
3rd Layer – Vineyard Berry
4th Layer – Just Green
5th Layer – Mountain Pine
6th LayerFresh Lemon
Leaves:
1st Layer
– Sweet Leaf and Fresh Lemon
2nd Layer – Just Green
3rd Layer – Mountain Pine

Then I fussy cut the images. Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Carpe Diem Stamp Set on Jet Black cardstock using Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. After that, I placed the Linear Crossroads Die on a sheet of Jet Black cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine.

To create the background for this card, I followed the same process as the first card. After that, I stuck all the images on the card front using precision glue and stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.

  1. These cards are so bright and gorgeous. I love how the background looks like a trellis for the flowers.

  2. Really neat technique with the watercolor lifting! Looks incredible, and so grateful you mentioned all the color layers you used for the flowers ❤️

  3. Pretty cards!! I especially love the triangular orientation of the stamped flowers and the paint splats of the first card

  4. Both beautiful but the second is my favorite. Thanks for the idea for the grid stencil. Great effect. Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. Love the card you’ve made! Wonderful colored used. Wow that is a huge stamp set! That layering is really realistic and so cool!

  6. The colors really pop! Wonderful cards and a great use of the stencil. The second is my favorite. Less stark white space, just enough for the sentiment to be seen.
