Altenew February 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am thrilled to join Altenew for the February 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Jenny’s blog.

Project 1

I die cut the bookmark from white cardstock using the Botanical Bookmark Die. Next, I stamped the image from the Build-A-Garden: Morning Asters Stamp Set on it using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I masked it and stamped the image in the background.

After that, I used the coordinating stencil and the below Crisp Dye Inks to colour them:
Flowers – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Heart Beat, Rhodolite
Leaves and stems – Just Green, Hunter Green

Next, I masked the images and coloured the lower portion of the bookmark using Olive, Moss and Green Opal Crisp Dye Inks. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Paint-A-Flower: French Marigold Outline Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Supplies:

Project 2

First, I die cut the flowers, leaves and sentiment from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using the Craft-A-Flower: Himalayan Blue Poppy Layering Die Set. Then I inked them using the below crisp dye inks:
Flowers – Azurite, Soft Lilac, Wisteria, Pink Diamond, Lavender Fields, Hydrangea, Tide Blue
Centres of the flowers – Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick, Red Jasper, Citrus Burst, Bamboo, Parrot
Leaves – Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Shadow Creek, Mountain Pine, Green Onyx
Sentiment – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick

Next, I assembled the images and splattered white gouache on them. After that, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Circle Quilt Cover Die. I stuck the images and the die cut piece on an A2 Jet Black cardstock.

Then I die cut the sentiment out of black cardstock and white cardstock. To assemble the sentiment, I stuck the white die cut sentiment behind the coloured die cut, slightly offsetting it to create a highlight and then offset the black die cut sentiment to the coloured die cut piece to create a shadow. I then stuck it on the card front. As the last step, I stuck the card panel on an A2 card base.

Supplies:

Project 3

I started by stamping the image and sentiment from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Eclectic Bouquet on an A2 card base using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I inked the image using the coordinating stencils and the below crisp dye inks:

Flower 2 – Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick, Red Jasper
Flower 3 – Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry, Rhodolite
Leaves – Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green

Next, I masked the image, placed the Fine Tulle Stencil on it and inked the card panel using Icy Water and Winter Lake Crisp Dye Inks.

Lastly, I splattered white gouache on the image using a round brush.

Supplies:

Project 4

I die cut the vinyl from Jet Black cardstock using the Mini Delight: Vinyl Style Stamp & Die Set. Then I used the Fine Frames Square Die Set and die cut the square and frames using Rubellite(Gradient Cardstock Set Cherry Blossom), Lagoon(Gradient Cardstock Set Sea Shore), Sunshine(Gradient Cardstock Set Summer Afternoon), White and Jet Black cardstocks.

Next, I stuck these images on a card base and stamped the sentiment from the Blooming Gramophone Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Supplies:

Project 5

I stamped the images from the Paint-A-Flower: French Marigold Outline Stamp Set on an A2 Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink

Then I coloured them using my alcohol markers. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

After that, I masked the images and the sentiment and splattered Jet Black Watercolour on the background.

Supplies:

Project 6

First, I foiled an A2 Navy cardstock using the Spark Joy: Lily Bouquet and the Brushed Gold Hot Foil. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and embossed it using antique gold crisp embossing powder.

After that, I inked the edges using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink and an ink blending brush. Then I used the coordinating stencils and inked the card panel using white pigment ink. As the last step, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
