3rd December Altenew 12-Hour Retreat

Hey there! Today I would like to share a card I taught during the 3rd December Altenew 12-hour retreat. Thank you so much, Bridget Casey and Amy Hill, for organising this fun-filled event.❤️

First, I die cut the leaves from the Neenah Solar white(110lb) and Gilded Glitter (Citrine) cardstocks using the Poinsettia 3D Die Set. Next, I inked the leaves using Citrus Burst, Heart Beat, Rhodolite, Just Green, Hunter Green and Green Onyx Crisp Dye Inks along with mini blending brushes.

After that, I randomly colour the edges of the leaves using a round brush and the Enchanted gold paint from the Metallic Watercolour 14 Pan Set.

Then I poured some precision glue on my work surface, used a sponge dauber and dabbed the glue randomly on some areas of the leaves. Next, I placed the gold foil on the leaves and used my fingers to gently burnish the foil. I then assembled the poinsettias using liquid glue.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Cozy Winter Vibes Stamp Set using embossing ink on Jet Black cardstock, sprinkled Antique Gold crisp embossing powder on it and heat set it. Then I trimmed the sentiment panel and embossed the edges using antique gold embossing powder.

Next, I inked the edges of the sentiment strip using Antique Gold Pigment Ink and an ink blending tool.

To create the background, I inked the raised side of the Crystal Wall 3D Embossing Folder using Antique Gold Pigment Ink, placed an A2 Jet Black cardstock in it and ran it through the die cutting machine.

Then I inked the edges of the cardstock using the same ink and an ink blending tool. Next, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base. Lastly, I stuck the flowers and sentiment on the card front using precision glue.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today. Have a beautiful day.

  1. Joy, you see color in ways no one else can! I wish you could teach us it! This card is amazing! The colors are rich and festive! I was at the 12 hour retreat, but missed your class! How I wish I didn’t!
