For this week’s project as a part of Maymay Made It Design Team, I made a card using the Jar of Fun, Garden Party and Happy Fall Stamp Set.
First, I stamped the jar from the Jar of Fun Stamp Set using VersaFine Onyx Black I
After that, I masked the images, cut a masking sheet to form a hill and masked the sky. Then I used Mowed Lawn and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks to colour the ground along with a mini ink blending tool. To create the texture of grass, I used a Nuvo Blender Brush along with Pine Needle Distress Ink and dabbed the brush on the paper. I then unmasked the sky and masked the grass.
To colour the sky, I used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks along with an ink blending tool. Then I sprinkled water on the background and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel. After that, I unmasked the images and coloured the Jar using Squeezed Lemonade and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks. To colour the Fireflies, I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. I wanted to add shimmer to the wings, so I applied a little glue and used the Glitter Duster by Stampers Anonymous to sprinkle glitter on them.
Next, I used the leaves stamps from 2 sets – Garden Party and Happy Fall and stamped them using Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover and Pine Needle Distress Inks.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Jar of Fun Stamp Set using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.
