Santa Claus is Coming to Town
I have been experimenting with alcohol inks, and I love using them in projects. Today I am sharing another card I made using alcohol inks to create the background.
First, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using the Meadow borders die by Lawn Fawn. Next, I used Mowed Lawn Distress ink along with an ink blending tool to colour it. After that, I used Copic markers – G14, G17 and G19 with flicking motions to create the grass texture.
Since I wanted to colour the critters with Copic markers, I stamped the image from the Winter Skies Stamp set by Lawn Fawn on Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using Memento Black ink. Then I fussy cut it using my cutter bee scissors. After that, I used Copic Markers YR04, YR09 and Y38 to colour the two foxes, and YG99, G94 and YG63 to colour the scarf. I added dots on the scarf using a white gel pen.
For the background, I used Yupo paper and coloured it using Sailboat Blue, Bottle, Patina, Purple Twilight and Amethyst Alcohol inks along with the Blending solution. Once the panel was dry, I die cut it using the second largest die from the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle Die set. Next, I applied a few drops of Alcohol lift re-inker on a round Felt pad, placed it on the background and twisted it to create the moon. I then used a paper towel to remove any excess ink. After that, I used my Stamp Platform to stamp the silhouette of the Santa and the reindeers using Ranger Black ink.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Messages Stamp set using VersaMark ink on a Black cardstock. Next, I sprinkled white embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun. After that, I cut it using the banner die from the Hearts in a Row – Vertical die by My Favorite Things.
I created a mat for this panel using black cardstock that I cut using the largest die from the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle Die set. Then I assembled the card using art glitter glue.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
