Perfectly CAS February Challenge – Splash

Hello and welcome back to my blog. We have a new challenge at the Perfectly CAS Blog, and the theme for challenge #12 is Splash.

I started by masking an A2 Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using memo tape. Next, I stamped the pig, the puddle and the clouds from the SY Piggy Pebbles Stamp Set using Memento Black ink. I stamped these images on a masking sheet, fussy cut them and masked the images on the card panel.

After that, I masked the ground and inked the sky using Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Iced Spruce Distress Inks along with my blender brushes. I then masked the sky and inked the ground using Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Iced Spruce Distress Inks. Then I unmasked the images and used my Copic Markers to colour them.

Below are the colours I used:
Pig – R32, R30, R11, R00, C7, C5, C3
Clouds – C7, C5, C3, C2, C0
Puddle – B93, B91, R11, R00

I wanted to emboss the raindrops, so I masked the clouds and prepped the card panel using an embossing powder bag to remove any static. Next, I stamped the raindrops from the Dancing in the Rain Stamp Set by Altenew using VersaMark Ink, sprinkled white embossing powder on it and dusted off the excess. I then gently unmasked the clouds and heat set the embossing powder with my heat gun.

After that, I drew more puddles using my Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Lastly, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful week ahead.

  1. WOW !! Joy! Your card is amazing !! Great project, very inspiring. These storm clouds look stunning and do not spoil the good mood of Piggy at all. This card is excellent, not only as a CAS card !!
