May this Diwali fill your hearts with Brightness

Since today is Diwali, I made a Diwali card for Day 7 of the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge, using the Festival of Lights and Diwali Sentiment Stamp sets by Mudra. I would like to wish all my friends a happy and prosperous Diwali. May this Festival of Lights fill your home with happiness, joy, prosperity, and never-ending success.

Let’s start with the card. First, I cut a piece of Canson XL paper using the largest die from the Peek a Frame die set Mama Elephant. Next, I stamped the image thrice on a masking sheet and fussy cut it. After that, I placed the stamp on my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and stamped it using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Since I wanted the middle lantern to be in the foreground, I stamped it first. Then I masked this image and stamped the other two on either side. I wanted to emboss the sentiment, so I used the Embossing Magic Pad by Inkadinkado to remove any static. Next, I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark ink, sprinkled Gold embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it with a heat gun.

I then used a mini ink blender along with Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple Distress inks to colour the background. After that, I splattered Yellow Gold from Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry colours using a paintbrush. Once the background was dry, I removed the masking paper and coloured the images using Zig Markers.

Details of the Zig Markers I used:
Orange Lantern: Lemon Yellow (051), Bright Yellow (052), Orange (070)
Blue Lantern: Lemon Yellow (051), Light Blue (036), Persian Blue (032)
Green Lantern: Lemon Yellow (051), Green (040), Pale Green (045)

As a final step, I stuck this panel on a white A2 card base using art glitter glue.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
