Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I would like to share a card I made for the current Anniversary challenge on A Blog Named Hero.

I started by stamping the flowers and buds from the Hero Florals Poppy Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink. Next, I masked these images and coloured the sky using Cornflower and Navy Shadow Inksand a blending brush. I then inked the ground using Emerald Green Shadow Ink. After that, I splattered Deep Ocean Liquid Watercolor on the sky and Jungle Mist Liquid Watercolor on the ground.

Next, I unmasked the images and coloured them using my Copic Markers. Below are the colours I used:
Flowers – R39, R29, R24, R22, R21, C7
Leaves and stems – YG17, YG23, YG25, YG13, YG11

Then I stamped the sentiment from the Many Everyday Messages Stamp Set using Intens-ified Black ink. After that, I splattered White Liquid Watercolor on the entire panel. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post to enter your project for a chance to win a gift card to Hero Arts! Have a fabulous day.

  1. Love the colors on this card!! It is really gorgeous! It’s a great month to celebrate an anniversary! 34 years I’ve been married to the best man to walk the planet ( I’m biased 😊) you missed our day by posting one day to soon.
Sorry to ramble, thanks for directions I’m going to have to try this with a different poppy stamp as I don’t have that one.
