Friendship is the Sweetest
Hey there! I am so glad that you stopped by my blog! I feel friends play an important role in each one’s life and we should treasure all of our friends. So, today I decided to make a card to cherish this beautiful relationship we share with so many people around us; the ones who make us laugh or who just make everything better by just being there. I have been wanting to make friendship themed cards for a while now and since there was a challenge at Less is More I decided to hop in.
So let’s start with the process. I used a sheet from Canson Watercolour Pad and cut it using the largest die from the Mama Elephant Peek A Frame die set. I stamped the image from the Friendship is the Sweetest stamp by Little Darling Rubber Stamps on the cardstock using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Rain or Shine stamp set by MFT using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.
After I was done with this, I started working on the background. I first masked the stamped image by stamping the same image on a masking sheet, after which I fussy cut it and stuck it on the image. To create the sun rays, I used the Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil by MFT along with Mustard Seed Distress ink and a Nuvo Blending Sponge.
Then, I removed the masking sheet and used Zig Markers to colour the image and added some grass.
As the last step, I stuck the cardstock to a card base, and the card was complete!
