Daily Marker Challenge – Day 4
Hey there my lovely friends! Glad to see you back on my blog. For Day 4 of the Daily Marker Challenge, I made a card using the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch as inspiration.
I started by stamping the little astronaut from the Space Explorer Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink by Altenew. Then I fussy cut him and coloured him using my Copic Markers.
Below are the colours I used:
Space Suit: N3, N1, N0, 0, R89, R39, R29
Face: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Hair: E99, YR24, Y08, Y02
To create the square panel, I cut a piece of Canson XL Watercolour cardstock to 3 inches using my Trimmer. I also cut a piece of Pitch Black cardstock by Hero Arts to the same size. Then I created the galaxy background using Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks along with a Blender Brush. Next, I sprinkled water on this panel and dabbed the excess with a paper towel. I also splattered Copic Opaque White and Perfect Pearls using my round brush on the background to create stars. Once this panel was dry, I placed the Starry Sky Horizontal Stencil by My Favorite Things and coloured in a few stars using Unicorn Pigment Ink by Hero Arts along with a sponge dauber.
Next, I used my stamp platform to stamp the sentiment on an A2 card base with Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then assembled the card and stuck the astronaut on it with black foam tape to add dimension. As a final step, I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze on his face and hair.
