Christmas Craft Creations January Challenge – Ribbon or Twine

Welcome to my blog, my friends. We have a new challenge at the Christmas Craft Creations Blog, and the theme for the January Challenge is Ribbon or Twine.

Jennifer is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Click here to see her amazing project.

I started by die cutting Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using the ornament die from the My Monthly Hero October 2020 Kit.

Next, I stamped the snowman from the My Monthly Hero November 2020 Kit on the die cut ornament using Memento Black ink. Then I cut a mask using the matching die from the kit and masked the snowman. After that, I stamped the trees in the background and masked them. I then masked the ground and the ornament cap and inked the sky using Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks along with my blender brushes. Next, I splattered white liquid watercolour on the background using a round brush. I then unmasked the images.

After that, I die cut a few branches from Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using the Just Because Die Set by Concord and 9th. Then I used my Copic Markers to colour all the images.

Below are the colours I used:
Snowman – BV02, BV00, BV000, 0
Buttons – C5, C3
Nose – YR09, YR04, Y38
Hat – C9, C7, C3, BV04, BV02, BV000
Scarf – R89, R29, R24, R22
Trees – G14, YG67, YG99, G19, G29
Shadow – BV23, BV20, B60
Snow – BV02, BV000
Ornament Cap – E99, YR24, Y08, Y02, Y00
Branches – E27, G29, G19, YG13

To create the background, I inked the edge of an A2 Neenah Solar white 110lb card base using Just Green Crisp Ink along with a blender brush. I then smooshed Grass Field Crisp Ink on my media mat, sprinkled water on it and spattered it on the background. I also splattered Jet Black and Emerald watercolours from the Winter Wonderland Watercolour Brush Marker Set by Altenew.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Believe Stamp Set by Altenew using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Lastly, I attached a gold twine to the ornament and assembled the card using art glitter glue.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
