CDD March Release – Rainy Days
Today I would like to share two cards I made using the Rainy Days Stamp Set from the Craftin Desert Divas March Release.
Card 1:
For my first card, I die cut a piece of Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock to 4 * 5 1/4 inches. I then placed the images on my stamp platform and stamped them using Memento Black Ink. Next, I used my Copic Markers to colour the images. Then I masked the images and used the Rain & Cloud Stencil along with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool to create the clouds. After that, I used the Hill Scene 2 Stencil along with Lucky Clover and Pine Needle Distress Inks to create the hill. I created the grass using my Copic Markers.
Next, I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and stuck this card panel to an A2 top folding card base.
Card 2:
I started by cutting a piece of Neenah Solar white cardstock to 6 * 4 1/5 inches. Next, I placed the second largest die from the Torn Paper Dies on one side of the cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot. Then I placed the die on the other side and ran it through my Big Shot. After that, I stamped the images from the Rainy Days Stamp Set on the inner die cut pieces using Memento Black Ink. I used my Copic Markers to colour them.
Panel 1:
I masked the image and the ground. Next, I inked the background with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool. Then I masked the sky and coloured the ground using Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks. After that, I sprinkled water on the background using my distress sprayer and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel. Next, I used the Rain & Cloud Stencil along with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to colour the clouds. Then I stamped the raindrops from the same stamp set on the panel and coloured them with Copic Markers.
Panel 2:
I masked the image and the sky and used Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks along with a mini ink blending tool to colour the ground. Then I sprinkled water on it and dabbed off the excess. Next, I masked the ground and used the Burst Stencil along with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to colour the sun rays. To create the centre of the sun, I placed my mini ink blending tool on the cardstock and gently turned it. I die cut the two clouds using the Puffy Cloud Die, coloured it with my Copic Markers and stuck it on the panel.
After that, I stamped the sentiment using Memento Black Ink on Neenah Solar white cardstock and fussy cut the words “Rain” and “Shine”. Then I stamped the sentiment again on a piece of black cardstock using VersaMark ink, sprinkled white embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun. After that, I cut it into a thin strip using my trimmer.
I then assembled the card and stuck the sentiment on the panel.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
