CDD Creative Challenge – Pink and Red Colour Combination
This week at Craftin Desert Divas we have a Pink and Red Colour Combination Challenge. I made this card using the Cupid Shot Stamp set along with the Fancy Frame, Inside Scalloped Rectangle and Nested Heart Dies.
I stamped the mouse on a piece of Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock using Memento Black ink. Next, I fussy cut it with my cutter bee scissors and coloured it with my Copic Markers.
Then I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock using VersaMark ink. Next, I sprinkled white embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun. I then cut the sentiments into thin strips using my Trimmer.
To create the shaker heart, I cut a piece of pattern paper using the smallest die from the Nested Heart Dies. I cut several pieces of the heart frame from a piece of pink paper and layered them together. I then stuck a piece of acetate behind the pattern paper heart and stuck the layered pieces on it. After that, I filled the shaker well with Flower Power Sequins. I then stuck a piece of pattern paper behind it using a 1/8″ Scor-tape.
For the background, I cut the centre panel from a pattern paper using the 3rd largest die from the Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies. I used the same die to cut the frame out from a piece of white cardstock. Next, I used another pattern paper and cut it using the second largest die from the Fancy Frame Dies. After that, I foam mounted both the layers and stuck them on a white A2 card base. I then stuck the little mouse and the sentiment using foam tape. Lastly, I stuck the shaker heart on the card panel.
