Altenew Thanks and Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)
Hello there, and welcome back to my blog! It’s time for the August release and I am thrilled to join Altenew for the Thanks and Blessings Stamps / Dies / Stencils / Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Daniel’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.
Project 1
I placed the Flowing Wreath 3D Embossing Folder on an A2 Kraft cardstock and ran it through the die cutting machine. Then I applied White Pigment Ink on the raised portion of the card panel. To make the highlights brighter, I coloured them using Faber-Castell White Pastel Pencil and a white gel pen.
After that, I inked the edges of the card panel using Espresso and Jet Black Crisp Dye Inks along with the mini blending brushes.
Next, I die cut the sentiment from Kraft cardstock using the Joy To The World Typography Die Set. I then inked the lower portion of the die cut words using Espresso Crisp Ink and the top portion using White Pigment Ink. Then I die cut the same sentiment from Jet Black cardstock. To assemble the sentiment, I stuck the black die cut sentiment behind the coloured die cut, slightly offsetting it to create a shadow effect.
Supplies:
Project 2
First, I inked a red A2 cardstock using Heart Beat and Jet Black Crisp Dye Inks. Then I placed the panel in the Geo Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. Next, I inked the raised edges using White Pigment Ink.
After that, I die cut the sentiment from the Gilded Glitter Cardstock Set using the Joy to the World Typography Die Set and stuck it on the card panel using precision glue.
Supplies:
Project 3
I started by stamping the rose image from the Rose Tea Stamp Set randomly on a Teal Cardstock using Teal Cave Crisp Dye Ink. After that, I inked the edges using the same ink and a mini blending brush.
Next, I used an embossing powder bag to remove any static and embossed the sentiment from the Greatest Blessings Stamp Set using Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Lastly, I splattered Gold watercolour from the Metallic Watercolour set.
Supplies:
Project 4
First, I stamped the image from the Blossom & Bloom Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I stamped it on a masking sheet, fussy cut it and stuck it on the card panel. Next, I masked the edges using Washi tape.
I then inked the background using Heart Beat, Autumn Blaze, Fresh Lemon, Just Green, Starlight and Hydrangea Crisp Dye Inks along with my mini blending brushes.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Supplies:
Project 5
I started by stamping the bird from the Bird Of The Woods Stamp Set on an A2 watercolour cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I stamped the rest of the layers using the below Crisp Dye Inks:
1st Layer – Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat
2nd Layer – Heart Beat
3rd Layer – Vineyard Berry
4th Layer – Vineyard Berry
5th and 6th Layer – Jet Black
I then masked the bird and stamped the branch from the same stamp set. Next, I coloured it using Hazelnut, Almond Butter and Milk Chocolate Artist Markers. Then I masked the branch with a masking sheet and used a circle mask for the moon.
Next, I inked the sky using Wisteria, Tide Blue, Ultramarine, Azurite and Jet Black Crisp Dye Inks and my mini blending brushes. To create the stars, I splattered white gouache on the card panel. After that, I unmasked all the images and coloured the moon using Fresh Lemon Artist Marker and blended it using the Colourless Artist Marker. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Dry Brush Poinsettia Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Supplies:
Project 6
First, I embossed the images from the Rose Tea Stamp Set using Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Then I embossed the sentiment from the Greatest Blessings Stamp Set using the same embossing powder. Next, I coloured them using my Watercolour brush Markers – Emerald, Citrus Burst, Rouge and Rubellite.
After that, I masked the images and placed the Wavy Grid Stencil on the card panel. I then inked the cardstock using Just Green and Mountain Pine Crisp Dye Inks. Next, I splattered water on the panel using a round brush and dabbed off the excess. As the last step, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
