Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coneflower Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! It is the first of April and that means it’s time for another Build-A-Flower: Release by Altenew. I am so excited to join the Build-A-Flower: Coneflower Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from Christine’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.
I started by stamping the outline of the images from the Build-A-Flower: Coneflower Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I stamped the layers using the below Crisp Dye inks:
Flower 1:
1st Layer – Frosty Pink and Coral Bliss
2nd Layer – Heart Beat and Grapevine
Flower 2:
1st Layer – Frosty Pink and Pink Pearl
2nd Layer – Coral Bliss
3rd Layer – Vineyard Berry and Grapevine
Flower Centres:
1st Layer – Citrus Burst and Snapdragon
2nd Layer – Caramel Toffee and Paper Bag
Leaves:
1st Layer – Firefly and Shadow Creek
2nd Layer – Hunter Green and Evergreen
I then die cut these images using the coordinating die set.
To create the background, I inked an A2 watercolour cardstock using Just Green and Hunter Green Crisp Dye inks along with my ink blending tools. Next, I smooshed Evergreen and Jet black Crisp Dye Inks on my craft mat and splattered them on the card panel using my round brush.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
