AECP Family Hop – Celebrating our journey
Hello there! I am so glad you stopped by. We have an AECP Family Hop on Instagram where we are sharing the Altenew Academy class which has inspired us the most. We are all at various points in our AECP journey, but we are united in wanting to celebrate the inspiration and knowledge we’ve gained from the classes in Altenew Academy.
The class which I chose is Creative Coloring with Erum. Choosing one class was certainly very difficult because I have enjoyed and learnt so much from every single class I completed in my AECP journey. But then I decided on this class, as I have always been in awe of Erum’s cards, especially her Watercolor Drip Background Technique. Altenew is generously sponsoring this hop and to be in with a chance to win one of FOUR $25 gift certificates to their online store. Click here to join the hop.
First, I used a wet brush to wet the A2 watercolor paper and create the drips. Then I used Emerald and Mountain Watercolor Brush Markers to add colour to the wet portion of the card panel. Once this panel was dry, I splattered Jet black Watercolor on it.
While this panel was drying, I stamped the flowers from the Build-A-Flower: Cattleya Stamp Set on white cardstock using the below Crisp Dye Inks.
Flowers:
1st Layer – Frosty Pink
2nd Layer – Heart Beat
3rd Layer – Grapevine
4th Layer – Maple Yellow
Leaves:
1st Layer – Bamboo
2nd Layer – Grass Field
3rd Layer – Hunter Green
I then used the coordinating dies to die cut these images.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Fancy Greetings Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I stuck the flowers on the card front and splattered white gouache on it using a size 2 round brush. Lastly, I stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today. Have a fabulous day.
