AAA Cards Challenge #196 – Two Quarters
Hello and welcome to my blog, my crafty friends. We have a new challenge at the AAA Cards Blog, and the theme for challenge #196 is Two Quarters + Optional Twist Favourite Colours.
Trina is the Guest Designer for this challenge. You can click here to visit her blog and see her fabulous card.
First, I masked both sides of an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb card base using memo tape. Next, I stamped the image from the Build-A-Flower: Cattleya Layering Stamp & Die Set using the below Crisp Dye Inks:
Flowers:
1st Layer – Fresh Lemon
2nd Layer – Orange Cream
3rd Layer – Heart Beat and Jet Black
4th Layer – Firefly
Stems and bud:
1st Layer – Firefly
2nd Layer – Just Green
3rd Layer – Hunter Green and Jet Black
To add dimension to the floral image, I masked it and added the shadow using Limestone Crisp Dye Ink and a detailed blending brush. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Inky Lily Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I splattered Jet Black ink on the card panel. To add more dimension and make the image pop, I inked the two strips on both sides of the card panel using Limestone Crisp ink and a blender brush.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post for more inspiration from the design team. Have a wonderful day.
