AAA Cards Challenge #190 – Birthday

Hello there! Welcome to my blog, my crafty friends. We have a new challenge at the AAA Cards Blog, and the theme for challenge #190 is Birthday. It’s our 7th anniversary and I am so grateful to be a part of this fabulously talented team. We have tons of prizes from our many wonderful sponsors and we have a fun game for you as well. I hope you do participate in the challenge and also join the fun emoji hunt blog hop.

The Emoji Hunt
All the DT love using emojis and we have placed our favourite most used emoji on our personal blogs. We’d love for you to go on an emoji hunt to discover them all.

Note down each DT – there are 12 – and their emoji and email your answers to Jane – aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

All correct answers will be put into a draw and one lucky winner will receive a $20 Alex Syberia gift certificate.

I made a simple card using the Layered Cupcake Stamp Set by Altenew. First, I stamped the outline layer on an A2 card base using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Below are the inks I used for the rest of the layers:
Second layer:
Cupcake
Vanilla Cream and Hazelnut
FrostingSand Dunes
WrapperDusk
Third layer:
Frosting
Mocha
WrapperDesert Night
Fourth layer:
Frosting
Espresso

Next, I masked the cupcake and the top portion of the card panel. Then I added the shadow using Silver Stone Crisp Dye ink along with a small ink blending tool.

To create the golden confetti in the background, I unmasked the top portion, placed the Tiny Bubbles Stencil on the card panel and lightly inked the cardstock using Citrus Burst Crisp Ink along with a blender brush.

After that, I used my Polychromos pencils – 186, 183, 108, 185, 101 to add depth to the confetti. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you so much for joining me today. Be sure to visit this month’s challenge post for more inspiration from the design team. Have a fabulous day and eat a cupcake or two.🧁
