Altenew Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! It’s the first of September and that means it’s time for another Build-A-Flower: Release by Altenew. I am so excited to join the Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the amazing Colleen’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.
First, I stamped the outline of the images from the Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Layering Stamp & Die Set on a sheet of white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I used the below Crisp Dye inks for the rest of the layers:
Flower:
1st Layer – Blush
2nd Layer – Heart Beat
3rd Layer – Velvet
4th Layer – Firefly
5th Layer – Grass Field
6th Layer – Mountain Pine
Leaves:
1st Layer – Firefly
2nd Layer – Grass Field
3rd Layer – Mountain Pine
Next, I stamped the smaller images using Permanent Black Ink. Then I used my Sunshine Valley Garden Artist Markers – Blush, Crimson and Velvet to colour the smaller flowers and English Country Garden Artist Markers – Firefly, Grass Field and Mountain Pine to colour the leaves. I then die cut all the images using the coordinating die set.
To create the background, I coloured an A2 watercolour cardstock using Limeade and Emerald Watercolor Brush Markers along with Mountain Pine Crisp Dye Ink. I then splattered these colours on the panel using a round brush. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on the card front using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Next, I placed the Linear Crossroads Die on Jet Black cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine. I repeated this process a few times. Lastly, I assembled the card using my precision glue pen and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
