Sending Hugs

Welcome back to my blog. I am so glad you stopped by. Today I would like to share a card I made for the Altenew Monthly Challenge.

First, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Sunflower Daisy Stamp Set, and since I wanted to stamp them multiple times, I used my Misti to stamp them. I absolutely love this stamp set and I am so glad I finally brought it.

Below are the Crisp Dye inks I used for each layer.
Flowers:
Layer 1 – Pale Mauve
Layer 2 – Amethyst
Layer 3 – Grape Agate
Layer 4 – Plum
Layer 5 – Frayed Leaf
Layer 6 – Evergreen
Layer 7 – Moss

Leaves:
Layer 1 – Frayed Leaf
Layer 2 – Forest Glades
Layer 3 – Evergreen

After that, I fussy cut the images using my cutter bee scissors.

Next, I inked a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze and Firebrick Crisp Inks along with a blender brush. Then I die cut the panel using the Delicate Mandala Die.

To create the background, I inked the edges of an A2 Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock using Hunter Green Crisp ink along with a blender brush. Then I embossed it using the Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die. I placed the inked side down as I wanted to use the embossed side for my card instead of the debossed side.

Then I die cut the word “Hugs” from a piece of black cardstock. This die is from the Script Words Die Set. Next, I stamped the word “sending” from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set on a strip of black cardstock using VersaMark Ink. I then sprinkled white detail embossing powder, dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun.

After that, I stuck the die cut mandala on the embossed panel and cut off the excess using the Tim Holtz scissors. Next, I stuck the leaves and the flowers using art glitter glue. Then I used foam tape to stick the flower in the front, the sentiment strip and the die cut word. Lastly, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

I am linking this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
