You’re Amazing

Hello, my crafty friends. So glad you could visit my blog. Today I would like to share the third card I made for the Altenew Washi Contest 2020.

I started by sticking the Gilded Ombre Washi Tape on a sheet of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Then I placed the Dog Rose Panel A Die on the light purple side and ran it through my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine. I used the Dog Rose Panel B Die to die cut the darker shade of purple. Then I stuck Golden Edge Washi Tape on a panel, placed the Dog Rose Panel B Die on it and ran it through the die cutting machine. Since I wanted only the frame, I cut off the rest using my cutter bee scissors.

To create a background for the above panel, I coloured a piece of black cardstock using Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Sterling Silver colours from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set. Once this panel was dry, I trimmed it and assembled all the die cut pieces using art glitter glue.

I then inked the edges of an A2 black cardstock using Antique Gold Pigment Ink. After that, I splattered Amethyst and Rose Quartz Metallic colours on the panel using a round brush. While this panel was drying, I stamped the banner from the Envelope Art Stamp Set using Antique Gold Pigment Ink on a piece of black cardstock. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set using the same ink. Then I fussy cut the banner and inked the edges with Antique Gold Pigment Ink.

Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck the sentiment using foam tape.
