Polychromatic
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I would like to share a card I made for the Polychromatic Course by Altenew Academy.
In this course, Nina-Marie Trapani shares some amazing tips on how you can confidently use different colour combinations. This course was very informative, and I absolutely loved Nina-Marie’s beautiful cards.
I started by stamping the layering flowers and leaves from the Sunflower Daisy and Beautiful Day Stamp Sets on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Below are the colours I used:
Yellow Flower:
1st Layer – Citrus Burst
2nd Layer – Fresh Lemon
3rd Layer – Maple Yellow
4th Layer – Honey Drizzle
Orange Flower:
1st Layer – Sunkissed
2nd Layer – Orange Cream
3rd Layer – Autumn Blaze
4th Layer – Firebrick
Red Flower:
1st Layer – Pink Pearl
2nd Layer – Coral Bliss
3rd Layer – Heart Beat
4th Layer – Vineyard Berry
Centre of all flowers:
1st Layer – Firefly
2nd Layer – Shadow Creek
3rd Layer – Mountain Pine
Leaves:
1st Layer – Firefly
2nd Layer – Shadow Creek
3rd Layer – Mountain Pine
Then I stamped the single-layered leaves from the Leaf Clusters and Sunflower Daisy Stamp Sets using Firefly and Mountain Pine Crisp inks. After that, I fussy cut all the images using cutter bee scissors.
To create the background, I placed the Stone Wall Stencil on an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and lightly inked it using Ocean Waves Crisp Dye Ink along with a blender brush. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Say It With Love Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then covered it with a post-it and splattered black ink on the card panel using the Jet Black watercolour brush pen from the Winter Wonderland Set.
Next, I assembled all the images on the card front and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
I am linking this card to the Flower Challenge – Use a Sentiment.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!! I think fussy cutting these was the best decision!! They look so beautiful without the white outline. I will CASE this for sure 🙂
Such a beautiful card Joy! your flowers look so life like and you chose such bright vibrant colours too. Love the sentiment and the subtle background also. Thanks for sharing with us over at ‘The Flower Challenge’ 😉 Viv DT xx
