The best is yet to come

Hello there my crafty friends! Today I would like to share a card I made featuring the Magnificent Bloom Stamp Set by Crafty Meraki.

First, I stamped the image on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Memento Black Ink. Then I fussy cut it and used my Copic Markers to colour it.

Below are the colours I used:
Peonies – RV19, RV14, RV13, RV21, RV10, Y08, Y02, Y00
Leaves -G29, G07, YG25, YG23, YG11

To create the background panel, I smooshed Black Soot Distress Ink on my media mat and sprinkled water on it using a Distress Sprayer. Then I dabbed an A2 watercolour cardstock on it. This gives the panel a very organic look after we complete the next step. Next, I used my mini Black Soot Distress Ink pad and dragged it on the cardstock to give it a wood panel texture.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then used my trimmer to cut it to a thin strip leaving a thin white border. Then I stuck the flowers on the card panel and stuck this panel on an A2 card base using art glitter glue. Lastly, I stuck the sentiment using a foam tape.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for joining me today. Have an amazing day.

  1. Such a gorgeous card and really cool technique for the background! Would love to see a video demonstrating this.
