Happy Lunar New Year

Hello there my crafty friends! I am so glad you stopped by. Today I made a card for the Lunar New Year using the Happy Chinese New Year Stamp Set by Isabel Cristina, and it is a freebie available on her blog.

I started by printing the image of the rat on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Then I fussy cut it and used my Copic Markers to colour it.

Below are the colours I used:
Rat – N1, N0, R20, R00, R24

Next, I die cut the Dancing Lanterns die set by Spellbinders and Stitched Rectangle Frames Die by Lawn Fawn from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. I then inked all the die cut pieces using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink by Hero Arts. After that, I sprinkled Glitter Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder by WOW, dusted off the excess and heat set it. I repeated this process two more times to get even coverage.

Then I cut a piece of Cranberry Premium Cardstock to 4 1/4 * 5 1/2 inches using my trimmer. Next, I inked the edges of the paper using Velvet Crisp Dye ink along with a blender brush. I then placed the Patterned Lanterns Bold Prints Stamp by Hero Arts on my Misti and stamped it on the cardstock using the same ink.

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Lunar Extras Stamp Set by Mama Elephant using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. Next, I sprinkled Glitter Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set it. I then masked the sentiment and splattered Gold paint from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Night colours using a round brush. Next, I stamped the word 福 from the same stamp set, embossed it using Gold embossing powder and fussy cut it. Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck this panel on an A2 card base.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
