Flora Fiesta Instagram Hop
Today I would like to share a card I made using the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden release by Altenew for the Flora Fiesta Instagram Hop organised by Aditi. Altenew is giving away $15 gift vouchers to five winners! If you would like to join the hop, please visit my Instagram post before 17th May. Don’t forget to like and comment on all the posts and also follow all the amazing designers.
I started by stamping the flower from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden on an A2 watercolour cardstock using embossing ink. Next, I sprinkled antique gold embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it. I repeated this process two more times. Then I coloured the images using the below Watercolour Brush Markers and my Fine Watercolour Brushes:
Flower 1 – Desert Night, Lagoon, Turquoise
Flower 2 – Citrus Burst, Crimson, Sunkissed, Ruby Red
Flower 3 – Persian Blue, Midnight Violet
Leaves – Emerald, Mountain Mist, Lime, Limeade
I then fussy cut the images using my Tim Holtz Scissors.
Next, I embossed the sentiment from the Build-A-Garden: Daisy Crown Stamp Set using antique gold embossing powder and die cut it using the coordinating die set. I stamped and embossed the smaller sentiment using the antique gold embossing powder and trimmed it to a strip using my trimmer.
To create the background, I placed an A2 Jet Black Cardstock in the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. After that, I used a blending brush to apply embossing ink randomly on the panel, sprinkled antique gold embossing powder on it and heat set it.
Lastly, I assembled the card panel and stuck it on an A2 card base using art glitter glue.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Stay tuned for more cardmaking tips and tricks in my next blog post.
Until then, live creatively and spread the joy of handmade art. ❤️
