CDD September Release – Sally Scarecrow
It is Day 3 of Sneak Peek at Craftin Desert Diva’s Blog, and I made two cards using the Sally Scarecrow Digital Stamp. How adorable is she!
I started by resizing the images in different sizes and printing them on watercolour cardstock. After that, I fussy cut them and coloured them using Zig markers. Then I added small dots to the centres of the sunflowers using a brown and a black Sakura gel pen.
I have mentioned the rest of the process of both the cards below.
Card 1:
To create the background panel, I used a watercolour cardstock. First, I masked the lower part of the paper using post its. Next, I coloured the clouds using Hill Scene 2 Stencil along with a mini blending tool and Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Inks. After that, I unmasked the lower part of the panel and coloured it with Zig markers. Next, I stuck the outermost flower pots, followed by the other two in the middle. Then I stuck Sally Scarecrow in the centre. Next, I added shadows below the flower pots. Finally, I stuck this panel on a white A2 top folding card base.
Card 2:
I created a sentiment and printed it on a watercolour cardstock. Then cut the cardstock to an A2 sized panel. Next, I masked the edges using Painter’s Tape. After that, I coloured the centre using a mini blending tool and Moved Lawn, Twisted Citron, Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Inks to create a gradient effect. After I unmasked the panel, I stuck Sally Scarecrow on it. I then stuck this panel on a white A2 top folding card base.
