CASE Your Fellow AECP Crafter Hop
Hello there and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to share a card I made for the AECP Crafter Hop. I am honoured to be a part of the AECP family and so grateful to be in this hop with all the other talented crafters. A special thanks to Natasha Davies for organising this hop.
For this hop, I cased a card that was done by Daniella Karni-Harel. Daniella is an amazingly talented crafter and all her cards are absolutely gorgeous, and I had such a tough time choosing only one card to CASE. I zeroed down on this card because I loved the way she had 2 coloured flowers and the rest in black and white, which is such a unique idea, and so I decided to CASE the colour combination in my card. You can click here to visit her blog to see the card I was inspired by. Do visit her blog to see her fabulous cards and subscribe to it so you don’t miss any of her new cards.
I started by stamping the images from the Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory Layering Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Crisp Dye Inks.
Below are the colours I used:
Flower 1 (Colour)
Layer 1 – Pinkalicious
Layer 2 – Hydrangea
Layer 3 – Starlight
Flower 2 (Colour)
Layer 1 – Pink Diamond
Layer 2 – Pinkalicious
Layer 3 – Hydrangea
Layer 4 – Starlight
Leaves and stems (Colour)
Layer 1 – Grass Field and Shadow Creek
Layer 2 – Mountain Pine
Flower 1 (Gray)
Layer 1 – Evening Gray
Layer 2 – Moon Rock
Layer 3 – Lava Rock
Flower 2 (Gray)
Layer 1 – Morning Frost
Layer 2 – Evening Gray
Layer 3 – Moon Rock
Layer 4 – Lava Rock
Leaves and stems (Grey)
Layer 1 – Evening Gray and Moon Rock
Layer 2 – Lava Rock
I then used the coordinating dies to die cut these images. Next, I splattered white gouache on them using a size 2 round brush.
To create the background, I used an A2 watercolour cardstock by Altenew, placed the Wavy Grid Stencil on it and stuck it in place using purple tape. Then I inked the card panel using Hunter Green Crisp ink along with my blender brush. Next, I splattered green and black watercolour on this panel using the Mountain Mist, Emerald and Jet Black watercolour brush pens from the Winter Wonderland Set.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set on a strip of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Lastly, I assembled the card panel using art glitter glue and stuck the sentiment using foam tape.
