Artistry by Altenew’s Acrylic Markers – Instagram Hop + Giveaway

Today I would like to share a card I made for Artistry by Altenew’s Acrylic Markers – Instagram Hop + Giveaway. If you would like to join the hop, please check my Instagram post.

I coloured an A2 watercolour cardstock using Deep Iris Marker, Ultraviolet, Navy and Pacific Blue Acrylic Markers. Next, I used a damp sponge to blend the colours to create a smooth background.

After that, I die cut the vases from Jet Black cardstock and leaves from watercolour cardstock using the Boho Vases Die Set. I then die cut the vases from watercolour cardstock as I wanted to colour the designs on them using the Acrylic Markers. I used the below Markers to colour the images:
Vase 1 – Crimson, Fresh Lemon
Vase 2 – Lavender Fields, Volcanic Lake, Crimson, Fresh Lemon
Vase 3 – Coral Pink, Wisteria, Puffy Heart
Leaves 1 – Emerald Cave, Sweet Leaf, Minty Mint, White
Leaves 2 – Emerald Cave, Pine Green, Minty Mint, White
Leaves 3 – Emerald Cave, Pine Green, Minty Mint, Volcanic Lake, White

Then, I stuck washi tape behind the vases and stuck the coloured designs on them.

Next, I placed the Linear Crossroads Die on Jet Black Cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine. I repeated this process one more time. Then, I applied cosmic flake glue randomly on the die cut pieces and the vases. Once the glue was tacky, I carefully applied gilding flakes and burnished them with my fingers.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Set 3 on the card panel using Obsidian Pigment Ink. After that, I stuck the images on the card front and stuck the panel on an A2 card base using liquid glue.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Stay tuned for more cardmaking tips and tricks in my next blog post.

Until then, live creatively and spread the joy of handmade art. ❤️
