Altenew Rustic Charm Stamp/Die/Stencils/Embossing Folders/Washi Tape/Brush Marker/Fine Mister Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)
Hello there, and welcome back to my blog! It’s time for the October release and I am thrilled to join Altenew for the Rustic Charm Stamp/Die/Stencils/Embossing Folders/Washi Tape/Brush Marker/Fine Mister Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the talented Ishani’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.
Project 1
I started by inking the edges of an A2 coloured cardstock using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink. Then I placed it in the Layered Snowflakes Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. Next, I used white pigment ink to ink the raised snowflakes. I then splattered white gouache on the panel using a round brush.
After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set and embossed it using white embossing powder.
To create the ornament, I die cut the top portion using Gold Glitter cardstock and the bottom portion using red cardstock. I then ink the edges of the red cardstock using Jet Black Crisp Ink and a blending brush. Next, I die cut the cap of the ornament using Gold Mirror cardstock and used the Metallic thread for the string. As the last step, I stuck this ornament on the card front.
Project 2
First, I stamped the images from the Cozy Winter Vibes, Winter Wishes, and Winter Cottage Stamp Sets using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I used my brown and white Polychromos Colour Pencils to colour them. I used my white gelly roll pen for the snow. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Wishes Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Project 3
I inked the edges of a red A2 cardstock using Jet Black Crisp Dye ink. Then I splattered silver metallic watercolour on it. Once the panel was dry, I embossed it using the Linked Ovals 3D Embossing Folder. Then I ran the embossing ink pad on the raised portions of the embossed panel, sprinkled Antique Gold Embossing Powder on it, and heat set it.
After that, I die cut the Alphabets J and Y from Dazzling Diamond Glitter cardstock using the Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set. I die cut both the alphabets 6 times and stuck them together using liquid glue.
To create the ornament shaker, I die cut the first layer of the ornament from the Dazzling Diamond Glitter cardstock using the Lovely Ornaments Die Set and stuck acetate behind it. Then I die cut it 6 more times from white cardstock and stuck them together. I die cut the base layer using green cardstock and stuck the stacked layers on it, Next, I filled the well with glitter, and then stuck the top layer on it.
As the last step, I assembled the card and stuck it on an A2 card base.
Project 4
First, I die cut the ornament from Green cardstock using the Lovely Ornaments Die Set. Next, I inked the edges using Jet Black Crisp Ink. I then die cut the top portion of the ornament from Glitter cardstock and the ornament cap from Gold Mirror cardstock.
To create the background, I used the Mid-Century Cover Die and die cut it from red, black and gold glitter cardstock and assembled it.
After that, I embossed the sentiment from the Believe Stamp Set using Antique Gold Embossing Powder. For the string of the ornament, I used metallic gold thread. Lastly, I assembled the card and stuck it to an A2 card base.
Project 5
I stamped the lights from the All Is Bright Stamp Set on white cardstock using Fresh Lemon and Obsidian Pigment Ink, and fussy cut them. Next, I inked the edges of an A2 coloured cardstock using Jet Black Crisp Ink.
After that, I used white pigment ink along with a sponge dauber to create the glowing effect behind the light bulbs. I then splattered Gold Watercolour on the card front. Then I used Gold embossing powder to emboss the sentiment from the All Is Bright Stamp Set.
Next, I stuck the lights on the leftover die cut pieces of the Mid-Century Cover Die from my previous card and stuck them on the card panel.
