All About Layering 2
Hey there! I am so glad you are back. I made todayโs encouragement card for the All About Layering 2 Course by Altenew Academy. If you have trouble with layering stamps, this is another course that I would recommend. Nicole Picadura not only explains layering techniques perfectly but also provides so many inspirational projects. The All About Layering series are free, so there is nothing that should stop you from trying them.
The below picture that I had clicked back in March 2017 was my inspiration for this card.
First, I stamped the solid images from the Exotic Tulips Stamp Set on Eclipse masking sheet, and fussy cut them using my cutter bee scissors. Then I stamped the images in the foreground on an A2 cardstock, masked them and then stamped the rest. I used my stamp platform to stamp the images as it is faster when making multiple cards.
I used the below Altenew crisp inks to stamp the different layers-
Orange Tulips – Warm Sunshine, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
Yellow Tulips – Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee
Leaves and Stems – Bamboo, Parrot
After that, I masked the images and used Mountain Pine ink along with a blender brush to colour the lower portion of the card panel. Then I smooshed the ink pad on my media mat and splattered ink on the lower portion of the panel.
While I was thinking of a sentiment for this card, I remembered a quote I had read โEvery flower blooms in its own time.โ And so I stamped the sentiment from the Just Because Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. As the last step, I stuck this panel on an A2 card base.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.

OK WOWZERS! I love these cards! LOVE THEM! The colours look so gorgeous and the perfect amount of white space to balance the bold ink blending. The masking, the stamp layering, the colour choice, along with the layout is absolutely perfect.
Thank you for entering your gorgeous work to the AECP assignment gallery. Absolutely brilliant work.
