Addicted to CAS Challenge #188 – Emboss

Hello there! Welcome back to my blog. I have some exciting news to share with you all, this is my first post as a part of the Addicted to CAS Design Team! I am so excited and honoured to work alongside all the incredibly talented card makers. Please do check their blog to see their gorgeous projects.

The code word for challenge #188 is – Emboss.

I started by stamping the image from the Fuzzy Hugs Stamp Set by Mama Elephant on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Memento Black ink. Next, I fussy cut the image using my cutter bee scissors. Then I used my Copic Markers to colour them.

Below are the colours I used:
Bunny 1 – C3, C2, C0, C00, R11, R00, C9, C7, C5, C3, N9, N7, N5, N3, R24, R22, R20
Bunny 2 – C3, C2, C0, C00, R11, R00, B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, YR27, YR15, Y19, Y15, Y13, C5, C3, C2, C00, 0

After that, I placed the English Brick wall Stencil by My Favorite Things on an A2 card base and used purple tape to adhere it. Next, I inked the left edge using VersaMark ink, removed the stencil, and sprinkled white puff embossing powder on it. Then I dusted off the excess and heat set it with my heat gun.

Next, I die cut a heart from white cardstock using the die from the Mini Mail Die Set by My Favorite Things. I then inked it with VersaMark ink, sprinkled red embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess and heat set it. I repeated this process three more times to add dimension to the heart.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the Love Letters Stamp Set by Altenew using Obsidian Pigment Ink. As the last step, I assembled the card using art glitter glue.

I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.

  1. Joy, I’m really impressed by your Copic coloring! The embossed brick stenciled background really pulls the card together. Just yesterday I was snooping through my favorite craft store and took notice of the Purple Tape and was wondering about it. I use Washi and it tears the surface of the cardstock – thanks for the tip!

  2. Hi Joy ~ Welcome to the team and Happy 2021! I love your darling bunnies and how you included the stenciled brick wall behind them! Beautiful Copic coloring, too…thanks so much for sharing the colors with us ~ xx

  3. Congratulations on joining the team! Adorable debut card. The white embossed stencilled brick wall backdrop grounds them perfectly.
