AAA Cards Challenge #178 – Sketch
Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome back to my blog. We have a new challenge at the AAA Cards Blog, and the theme for challenge #178 is Sketch + Optional Twist Primary Colours.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Granne, and she has made a stunning card. You can click here to visit her blog and see it.
I started by stamping the Poinsettia from the Merry Poinsettias Stamp Set by Studio Katia on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I then used the Copic Markers – R27, R24, R22, R20, Y02 along with Polychromos – 117, 111, 108 and White Prismacolor Pencil to colour the flower.
After that, I masked both sides of an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb card base using Memo Tape by Heffy Doodle. Then I inked the card panel using Azurite and Tide Blue Crisp Inks by Altenew and Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks using blender brushes by Taylored Expressions.
Next, I used an acrylic block and stamped the snowflakes from three different stamps sets – Winter Wonderland by Maymay Made It, Holiday Mittens by Hero Arts and Build A Snowman by Stampendous using Unicorn Pigment ink.
Then I splattered white liquid watercolour on the card panel using a round brush. After that, I smooshed Azurite Crisp Ink and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink on my media mat, mixed the colours and splattered the inks on the panel.
I then fussy cut the Poinsettia using my cutter bee scissors, splattered white liquid watercolour on it, and stuck it on the card front using art glitter glue. As the last step, I used my Misti to stamp the sentiments from the Holiday Messages Stamp Set by Mama Elephant using Obsidian Pigment Ink.
I am linking this card to the Flower Challenge – Use a Sentiment.
I have listed the products used below. Thank you for visiting my Blog.
